Bok Choy Harvesting Video
This aquaponics video shows how easy it is to harvest greens that are grown in deepwater raft culture aquaponics troughs. This is Larry and Patty Yonashiro’s deepwater raft system in Kahului, Maui.
It is a great example of the labor-saving qualities of the deepwater raft culture method: you can see the rafts of vegetables floating to the harvest location and the harvesters standing up, in the shade, doing the harvest work. Compare this to standard harvesting in the field: down on your knees in the hot sun! Raft aquaponics has some serious advantages!

This drawing is only one of ten CAD drawings that are included with our Micro System plans and manual.
Filter Construction Video
This construction video details construction of a screen filter to keep fish fry and eggs from passing out from your fish tank into your troughs. We also use the same filter inside the last trough, where the water pump picks up water to pump it back to the fish tank. Putting a filter there keeps junk out of the pump and give us a much longer interval between having to switch the pump off and take it apart for cleaning.
